What is Untis?
Educational institutions are now using Untis to build and maintain the timetable in 25 different languages. The data kept in Untis can be evaluated in different ways, and it can also be used for statistical analyses. Untis is a school scheduling software. The program has an algorithm which automatically makes the timetable. A wizard guides the user and directs them step by step through the entire process of entering data, creating and showing the timetable.
Users characterize the Untis based on the number of school days in a week. Then they can choose the classes, rooms, teachers, and subjects which are available. A wizard supports them all the way. This program can also identify which teacher is teaching which subject in which class. They can assign as many elements as they wish in one lesson. These lessons can be shown from the point of view of teachers, classes, rooms, or subjects. The completed timetable can be edited manually. Moreover, users can also lock certain lessons before optimization but must make sure that the algorithm does not move during these periods.
