What is a QCP file?
A .QCP file is a QualComm PureVoice audio file.
Files that contain the .qcp file extension are used for QUALCOMM audio files.
The QUALCOMM audio format is a file format that is used to store human voice recordings. These voice recordings are commonly used when sending PureVoice audio attachments via email.
The QCP format is based on the RIFF file format, a generic audio format that stores data in groups identified by tags. It is a container format that is normally encoded.
This audio container format was designed for vocal frequencies. However, in some cases, users used the QCP file format for ring tones on certain CDMA mobile phones.
This file format is obsolete.
