Opening RSC files

Did your computer fail to open a RSC file? We explain what RSC files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your RSC files.

What is a RSC file?

Files that contain the .rsc file extension are most commonly associated with the Symbian operating system.

Symbian is an open source operating system that was designed for mobile and touchscreen devices. The RSC files that are used by the system contains a compiled resource file that is used by applications that run on the Symbian OS.

RSC files are stored in binary format and are run with an associated APP file in order to create a Symbian-compatible software application.

The Carnivores Ice Age gaming application also uses the .rsc file suffix. These RSC files contain map area files that are referenced during a user's gameplay experience.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
