What are AA files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an AA file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your AA files.
What is an AA file?
An .AA file is an Audible Audio file.
AA is an acronym for Audible Audio. These file types are often used by audiobook services to save their books in a digital format. As an Apple iPod or Amazon Kindle user, you could easily play these AA files.
Not all digital audio players can support this format, so you may have to convert it to a more compatible format like MP3.
What makes AA files different from MP3 and WAV is that AA has the ability to store information about bookmarks or Chapter markers. AA files can sometimes be DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected. This makes it impossible to convert it to another audio format.
