What are SOL files and how to open them

What is a SOL file?

Flash Shared Object (Local) File

Files using the .sol file extension are files containing settings and user data saved for the Macromedia/Adobe Flash Player.

The SOL file format is only used by Flash versions six and later. SOL files are very similar to the cookie files created by many different websites on the Internet. Because of this, these files are commonly referred to as Flash cookies.

SOL files contain local shared objects. These objects are shared across multiple Flash player sessions to save a user's settings and information, allowing the information to be used across multiple Flash player sessions.
