GOM Player

If you are looking for GOM Player, you have come to the right place. We explain what GOM Player is and point you to the official download.

What is GOM Player?

The GOM Player (Gretech Online Movie Player) is a media player for Windows-based computers, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. This lightweight software is developed by Gretech, a South Korean IT company, and the media player itself is the most popular media player in South Korea, and with over 42 million users around the world. This make the GOM Player one of the most used and well known media players in existence, alongside the VLC Media Player, Winamp, and DivX Players. Because of its small memory footprint and small size, however, it has increasingly become popular among users who want a minimalistic software suite and those who hunger for the best performance on their systems. The GOM Player is also free to download.

Like most media players, the GOM Player is capable not only playing back audio, but video as well. It supports a variety of formats out of the box (including such formats as Real Media and QuickTime files, which usually need to have their respective program installed first), precluding the need to install additional codecs which, when installed improperly, may give your computer all sorts of problems. It can also play audio discs, DVDs, and several types of Video CDs.
