What is a WV file?
WV files have multiple uses, and WavPack compressed audio is one of them.
WavPack compressed audio
Files with the .wv extension are most commonly associated with compressed audio files. WV audio files are compressed using the free open source WavPack Hybrid lossless compression format, which supports stereo, mono, and multichannel audio outputs. The WV files can be compressed by 30 to 70 percent of the original audio file size.
