These files are saved in Sony's ATRAC file format and may contain DRM copy protection features that prevent the music file from being played on unauthorized devices or computers. This prevents the file from being pirated or used illegally.

The OMA file format was used to distribute music through the Sony CONNECT Music Store up until March of 2008.
