Opening DFF files

Did your computer fail to open a DFF file? We explain what DFF files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your DFF files.

What is a DFF file?

Files that contain the .dff file extension are commonly used for 3D model files that have been saved in the RenderWare binary stream file format. The RenderWare software was created by Criterion Software.

This DFF file format is used by a number of CAD (computer aided drawing) software applications and in a variety of 3D software games.

Grand Theft Auto 3 is one of the gaming applications that uses the DFF file format.

DFF is also an acronym for Dynamic File Format. These DFF files contain dynamic database files that contain structured database information.

The .dff file extension is also used for digital animation files.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
