What is ALTIUM?
Altium is an electronic design software. It provides tools that help the user build new and innovative electronic products. Its DXP platform allows the installation of extensions. This extension adds functionality to Altium Designer. It supports new FPGA devices, tools that add features to design editors, and new editors that support file formats. By opening up the DXP platform, both 3rd party developers are given the opportunity to enhance electronic design. This software helps the user manage, revise, and reuse design files safely. It also allows the project to be connected to Altium Designer's supply chain management systems. The user can move functionality off the board, and into the programmable domain with an FPGA-vendor development environment. Altium also has electronics designs using reconfigurable hardware platforms.
