How to open REP files

What is a REP file?

Files that contain the .rep file extension are most commonly associated with replay files that are used by a variety of different gaming applications. These REP files contains frames or scenes from a particular game, capturing information about a particular period of game play.

REP files allow gamers to share game replays and create game play instructions for other gamers to use. The REP file does not contain any actual video data, however, as these files only contain the captured frame information that can be replayed in the game itself.

Popular games that use the REP file format include Grand Theft Auto and StarCraft.
