Multi-Edit

If you are looking for Multi-Edit, you have come to the right place. We explain what Multi-Edit is and point you to the official download.

What is Multi-Edit?

Multi-Edit is an integrated development environment that is capable of working with more than 50 programming languages. It eliminates the need for multiple editors and also allows users’ right-click access to reference guides for different languages. It is extensible, the number of languages supported may actually go up depending on user modification. It is capable of integrating with virtually any external program and supports both FTP and Telnet. It also has a native language for macros that is provided (completely) for free.

Users who work on collaborative projects or with partners can also benefit from the program’s import/export capabilities. Languages, for instance, can be shared across users easily due to it. The program can also support simultaneous operation of more than 2,000 open editing windows and since the 2008 version, the software has had support for multiple monitor systems for more productive workspaces. It can also integrate with a long list of compilers, including Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Borland Developer Studio. It permits different OS-style terminators to occur within one file, has a toolbar for HTML utilities and operations, a spell checker, and more.
