CLB File - opening and understanding

Did your computer fail to open a CLB file? We explain what they are used for and recommend software that we know can open or otherwise handle your .CLB files.

What is a CLB file?

Files that contain the .clb file extension are used by the Microsoft COM+ service. Microsoft COM+ is used by the Windows operating system to facilitate communication between different components.

The CLB files that are used by the COM+ service contain the COM+ application and the computer-level attributes and class information.

The Super NoteTab ClipBook software application also uses the .clb file suffix. These CLB files contain template files that are created by a user for use with the Super NoteTab ClipBook application.

The ICQ instant messaging application has also been reported to use the .clb file extension. This program uses CLB files to save the contact list of the user who is messaging with the program.

How to open CLB files

You will need a program compatible with the specific file you are trying to open, as different programs may use files with file extension CLB for different purposes.
