What is ChemDoodle?
ChemDoodle is a visualization utility for chemistry specialists that supports professional, publication-ready graphics. Not only does it have professional drafting tools for chemical graphics, but it also contains an updated gallery of glassware graphics. Spectroscopic input is supported (as is spectroscopic simulation output). Users can quickly generate chemical reactions and calculate various properties of their chemical structures and compounds directly through the program, which has calculation tools for that purpose. Users can also embed their creations directly into Office program files, making export and publication easier. Copy+paste operations work too.
The software can also help users create valid IUPAC names for their creations. There are utilities within the software that let the user search online databases directly from its interface too. Furthermore, the software has a mobile version that can be synchronized with the desktop version for users who want to access their work even when on the go. The program will run on Windows computers as well as ones running Mac OS X and Linux. It is also regularly updated due to perpetual development and supplies several widgets that supplement users’ work.
