What is a RDF file?
RDF stands for Resource Description Framework. Files that contain the .rdf file extension are documents that have been written in the Resource Description Framework language. These files are used to store information about the websites that use this file format.
The RDF file format that is used to store this information is called "metadata". The metadata details of an RDF file include details about a website's map, keywords, page descriptions and updates.
The RDF file format is often used by Firefox to store the settings and configurations for certain windows and toolbars that are used within the Firefox browser.
