What are RDF files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a RDF file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your RDF files.
What is a RDF file?
RDF files have multiple uses, and Resource Description Framework is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
Resource Description Framework
RDF stands for Resource Description Framework. These files are documents that are used to store information in a standardized form.
The RDF file format that is used to store this information is called "metadata". The metadata details of an RDF file include details about a website's map, keywords, page descriptions, and updates.
How to open RDF files
Important: Different programs may use files with the RDF file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your RDF file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
While we have not verified the apps ourselves yet, our users have suggested ten different RDF openers which you will find listed below.
