What is K-MultimediaPlayer?

K-MultimediaPlayer, also called KMPlayer, is a media player developed by Pandora TV, a video-sharing site. The player goes by several other names, depending on its version. It is also known as KMP and KMPlayer Professional Media Player. First developed by Kang Young-Huee, the player is now developed and distributed by Pandora TV, a Korean company.

The software allows users to play VCD and DVD movies, as well as AVI files, ASF, MPEG-1, 2 and 4, WMV, MKV, RealMedia files, Ogg, Flash videos, OGM and QuickTime videos. It is also able to play 3D movies.

Users can also play their audio files through the player. K-MultimediaPlayer supports widely-used audio formats such as MP3, Vorbis, WMA, FLAC, ALAC, Speex, Wavpack, TrueAudio, Monkey Audio (APE), RealAudio, MIDI, DV Audio, QuickTime, Musepack and DTS.

To enhance video quality, various video filters are included in the software. Video filters include de-interlacing, cropping, image adjustment, image distortion, magnification and cropping. For audio enhancement, filters include equalizer, spatializer and dynamic range compressor. Visualization effects are likewise provided.

K-MultimediaPlayer is a Windows-compatible media player.
