BIK File
What are BIK files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a BIK file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your BIK files.
What is a BIK file?
A .BIK file is a Bink Video file.
Files containing the .bik file extension are associated with various computer games. Bink is a codec used to compress video files at up to three times the playback speed of a DVD. This allows games that use the BIK file format to use less memory than other types of video game codecs.
The data in the BIK file is usually a video that is played during a user's gameplay experience. So, for example, when a video game cuts to a video sequence, that video sequence can be stored in the BIK file format to make the file size of the gaming application more manageable.
