What is NCEDIT?

NCEDIT Application is a utility for AlphaCAM software, originally developed and distributed by Licom Systems. AlphaCAM provides users with a CAD/CAM development environment for writing NC (Numerical Control) part programming. NC part programming is generally utilized to create a computer file for executing machine commands. In other words, NC part programming enables the user to automate machine components. The NCEDIT Application allows the user to edit the NC part programming.

The NC programming module in AlphaCAM allows the user to select a post processor, which is essential in automating the commands; create or import the required geometry, set tool direction, and select tools and machining options, i.e. rough or finish, 3D engrave, drilling, pocketing, or pocketing.

AlphaCAM software is actually a suite of CAM solutions that includes Alphacam Router, Alphacam Milling, Alphacam Stone, Alphacam Turning, and Alphacam Wire. There is also a program that can be used for educational purposes, the Alphacam for Education package.

The software is available in several languages including Japanese, Korean and Chinese. All AlphaCAM software products are available for purchase only.
