What is a NC file?
NC files have multiple uses, and Network Common Data Form is one of them.
Network Common Data Form File
These files are in a data file format developed by MathWorks, Inc. They are also known as unidata network common data form files.
These .nc files are generated by the Matlab software, which is a scientific and mathematical data manipulation program that was also created by MathWorks, Inc. The files contain a set of machine-independent data formats along with a series of software libraries providing functions for accessing, sharing, distributing, and creating scientific data, specifically array-oriented scientific information.
