What are MTV files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a MTV file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your MTV files.
What is a MTV file?
A .MTV file is a MTV Video file.
These files are used to play videos on specific portable MP4 players made in China. The file format allows manufacturers to create the players without increasing the cost due to license royalties.
The MTV files that are used by these players display a series of raw RGB 465/555 images in conjunction with MP3 audio files. The image quality is sacrificed, however, due to the low frame rate and image resolution of this particular file format. These files sometimes use the AMV extension.
