And Open Source license from Sybase allows free commercial and non-commercial use of Open Watcom. Open Watcom is a professional, optimizing and multi-platform C and C++ compiler, with a comprehensive suite of development tools. Open Watcom is free. Open Watcom is cross-platform. The user can run it, among other types of platform, on both Windows and Linux. He can also build programs with it for different platforms, by using a single platform.

These options aren’t well-documented, but one of its maintainers helped in putting together these linker scripts. This linker does not include the BSS class in the binary, because it is uninitialized data anyway and will only add unnecessary size to the resulting binary.

If you have additional information about which types of files Open Watcom can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
