What is a RDG file?
The .rdg file extension is frequently found in files that are mainly linked with the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection. The .rdg file is a configuration file used by Remote Desktop Connection Manager. It is essentially a file container that stores the connectivity settings of between desktop networks.
RDG includes a list of servers to which the computer is connected. The .rdg file is necessary in bringing the information to the user to where the desktop can be successfully connected and it helps connection to function faster. It is also designed to be portable, enabling the user to share it with other users of the network, thus, permitting quicker connection to designated servers.
Remote Desktop Connection Manager is a tool for managing multiple remote desktops. It creates a single location for users to organize, group and manage connections.
