What is a PES file?

Brother Machine Embroidery Format

These files contain embroidery designs for use in computer-aided manufacturing (CAM).

The PES files associated with these CAM applications contain instructions that an application uses to create embroideries with a computer-aided digital sewing machine.

The software running the sewing machine uses the PES file to create the designed embroidery pattern without human intervention. The file contains the pattern layout information and the embroidery color design.
