Opening PES files

What is a PES file?
Files that contain the .pes file extension are most commonly associated with computer aided manufacturing (CAM) applications.
The PES files that are associated with these CAM applications contain instructions that an application uses to create embroideries with a computer-aided digital sewing machine. The computer application that is running the sewing machine uses the PES file to create the designed embroidery pattern. The file contains the pattern layout information as well as the embroidery color design.
The Corel Word Perfect Program Editor has also been known to use the .pes file suffix. These PES files contain the workspace files that are created with the Corel program.
