How to open IMA files

What is an IMA file?

Files with the .ima extension are most commonly associated with disk image files. These files are used by a broad range of software applications. The IMA file contains the entire contents of a CD in the same order that the data appears on the CD. WinImage and ImageMixer use the IMA file format.

The .ima file extension is also used for AIM Grey Scale image files, EGO - Chart - Autumn Mirage vector graphic files, System Mechanic files and Incredimail animation files.

These apps are known to open certain types of IMA files. Remember, different programs may use IMA files for different purposes, so you may need to try out a few of them to be able to open your specific file.
