What is WinImage application file?
The WinImage is a fully featured disk-imaging suite; used for reading, editing, creating image formats and file systems of different formats such as DMF, VHD, FAT, ISO, NTFS, and Linux. The created image, having the exact copy of the physical disk, floppy, CD-ROM, hard disk, USB, VHD disk, partition, etc., is preserved with its original structure; this is utilized by the software in recreating the disk image in various media, in viewing content, in extraction of image based files, in format changing, in adding an image-based files, and in defragmentation.
The software has several practical applications including the ability to turn floppy disks to disk images for recreation and later use. Custom boot disk with hardware diagnostic or virus cleaning tool can also be created via the WinImage. Backing up files can also be done using the software. Other features of the software include image creation on a removable drive, file extraction from disk images, and file injection on disk images, disk image format change, defragmentation, automated operations, and others. The software is compatible with Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003 Server, with language support including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
