Instant Access is a program that refers to the software Microsoft Office Access. The software provides the user with a database system that allows them to store information about a product, client, service or other entities in a single database. All relevant information are automatically consolidated, allowing the user to view entries assigned to each entity in a single data output.
The software is particularly utilized when large amounts of data need to be consolidated under one database that can be instantly accessed by all authorized users. The program eliminates or reduces the risk of duplicating entries, thereby reducing errors or inconsistencies with client (or other entity) details.
The software also provides the user with database templates that can be immediately utilized for creating a particular type of database. Templates provided are generally already integrated with tables, reports and forms; which means that the user is presented with tools for storing various types of information.
Templates are immediately provided to the user once the program is launched, through the Getting Started with Microsoft Access window. Users are presented with Local Templates, which are templates that are installed with the software, and Microsoft Office Online templates. Template categories from Microsoft Office Online are generally Business, Education, Personal and Sample.
Each category comes with sub-categories. For instance, the Business category provides the user with sub-categories like Assets, Business account, and Call tracker.
