If you are looking for FlashDevelop for .NET, you have come to the right place. We explain what FlashDevelop for .NET is and point you to the official download.
What is FlashDevelop for .NET?
FlashDevelop for .NET is an IDE for programmers working on Flash-based applications or websites. As it demands the presence of the .NET 2.0 Framework, it can only be used on computers where that are present, i.e. computers that run Windows. It is also open source, which means its development has been largely influenced by the needs and projects of its users: a lot of the plug-ins available for the program are user-made and new users can also create fresh plug-ins of their own to add to the growing pool available on the Web. And, like most other open-source programs developed mostly by contributive user communities, it is available for free.
FlashDevelop’s features are more or less what one would see in most IDEs. The editor can complete code, for instance, as well as highlight syntax and color it. The compiler is configurable and hotkeys too can be customized. Macro support is provided through the C# language, bookmarking is supported, code can be generated, users can create lists of what they need to do, and multiple compiling options are provided for users as well for publishing.
