What is a FDI file?
FDI files have multiple uses, and Anex86 PC98 floppy image is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
Anex86 PC98 floppy image
These FDI files contain the disk images of the floppy disks used in Anex86 PC98, an emulator for the EPSON's PC-286, an old Japanese computer released in April 1987. These disk images store the games played on the EPSON 286 computer.
How to open FDI files
Important: Different programs may use files with the FDI file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your FDI file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
While we have not verified the apps ourselves yet, our users have suggested six different FDI openers which you will find listed below.

While Anex86 PC98 floppy image is a popular type of FDI-file, we know of 3 different uses of the .FDI file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.
Formatted Disk Image
We know that one FDI format is Formatted Disk Image. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
