Capture NX

If you are looking for Capture NX, you have come to the right place. We explain what Capture NX is and point you to the official download.

What is Capture NX?

Capture NX is imaging software developed by Nik Software for Nikon that allow users to edit photos taken with their Nikon cameras. The software uses U Point technology, also developed by Nik Software, where the user can immediately edit a specific area of an image by using Control Points options, without the need to work on a layer-by-layer basis.

When the user clicks on a specific area, Control Points provides a slider to adjust the scope of the area to be edited. From here, the user can choose from the Control Points tools to start the editing process. Control Points are Color Control Points, Selection Control Points, White/Black/Neutral Control Points and Red-Eye Control Points.

The software also features an application known as Auto Retouch Brush, which allows the user to remove imperfections or unwanted objects from an image or a scenic shot. The tool serves as an eraser to remove facial spots, clouds or any other object from the picture. The software is available for purchase from the Nik Software site. A trial version can also be downloaded from the site.
