What is BobCAD CAM?

The CAD-CAM is developed by BobCAD-CAM for the computer numerical controlled (CNC) manufacturing and has been one of the most frequently used software for drilling and milling. The software itself is modular and has two versions: the Standard and Professional. Present in the software are the multi tool drilling and 2 axis machine strategies for 2 axis milling, also present is the PRO machine simulation and the High Speed Adaptive Roughing for the 3 axis milling. The 4 axis milling software comes with the Rotary, Indexing, and wrapping tool and Tool Path Wizards and the 5 axis milling software comes with simultaneous tool paths and 5 axis indexing and trimming.

The software usually deals with automotive, jewelry, and other types of CNC. Recently, the Dynamic Machining Strategies were added requiring the user to avail a single or multiple programs. BobCAD CAM is compatible with 10 file formats: DWG, SLDPRT, 3DM, X_T, DXF, IGES, STEP, STL, SAT, and CAD. Other programs include the DXF ClipArt and the Machinist Toolbox.
