What is a SIF file?
Files that contain the .sif file extension are most commonly associated with Windows Setup Information Files. These files contain the system setup information for the Windows NT and Windows XP operating systems.
The SIF data files that are associated with these two operating systems include information about the parameters that are referenced during the software's installation process, such as target paths, user information, display resolution, network settings and other information that is used by the operating system.
If a user's system cannot locate the necessary SIF file, installation of the user's operating system will not be able to be completed.
