SFK File
What are SFK files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a SFK file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your SFK files.
What is a SFK file?
A .SFK file is a Sound Forge Peak Data file.
Files that contain the .sfk file extension are files that contain the waveform image of a WAV audio file. SFK files are created by certain media devices when a WAV audio file is opened by using the Sound Forge or Sony Vegas audio applications.
An SFK file is intended to represent the WAV file data, but the SFK file does not contain any actual audio data itself. The SFK file only contains the metadata that is related to an associated WAV file. The WAV file is the file that contains the actual audio data that the SFK file corresponds to.
