Files that contain the .ses file extension are most commonly associated with the Adobe Audition sound-recording and mastering software program. Adobe Audition allows users to record, mix, edit and master audio files from a recording session.
The SES files contain multiple tracks and references to the audio files that have been created with the program, much like a playlist file, but an SES file does not contain the actual audio data from the recording session. Because of this, the SES files are not able to be used unless the associated audio files are also present.
The Clarion Modula-2 software program also uses the .ses file suffix. These SES files contain session info files that are created with the Clarion Modula-2 application.
