Opening RSF files

Did your computer fail to open a RSF file? We explain what RSF files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your RSF files.

What is a RSF file?

The RSF file format is used as a configuration file type, which was developed by Attachmate Corporation. Also known as Reflection settings files, these .rsf files are generated by the Reflection software, which was also developed by Attachmate Corporation.

The Reflection software is a terminal emulator that was designed for Microsoft Windows platforms. This allows Windows users to connect their PCs to IBM mainframe computers. When various configurations and settings are saved by a user in the Reflection software, an RSF file is created by this program, and this file is also updated with configuration changes that are performed by the user through this software.

These .rsf files do not contain any human-readable data. It's recommended to leave these RSF files alone, in order for the Reflection software to continue functioning properly.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
