Reflection for IBM

If you are looking for Reflection for IBM, you have come to the right place. We explain what Reflection for IBM is and point you to the official download.

What is Reflection for IBM?

Reflection for IBM is one of Attachmate’s best-known programs and belongs to its line of terminal emulators, right alongside the INFOConnect software and EXTRA!. While INFOConnect is an emulator for Unisys and EXTRA! for IBM, OpenVMS and UNIX, however, Reflection serves as a terminal emulator for IBM, OpenVMS, UNIX, HP and X. In other words, it provides users running it on their systems with a virtual copy or emulation of the video terminal used to run programs that are meant to be used on IBM and AS/400 operating systems. Without that emulation, the user would find those programs to be incompatible—and therefore unusable—on his operating system.

The Reflection for IBM software is meant specifically for Windows OS users. It will work on Windows 7, Windows 8 and even the Citrix XenApp computing systems. It also features data security services through its encrypting abilities: it uses TLS1.2 encryption methods, to be precise, and requires users to authenticate themselves prior to access, which can reduce the possibility of hacks from third parties making their way into the system or data stored therein. It also uses the well-known VBA interface.
