Opening RND files

Did your computer fail to open a RND file? We explain what RND files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your RND files.

What is a RND file?

Files that contain the .rnd file extension are most commonly used by the AutoCAD computer aided drafting software. This software application uses these files to store the rendering slide files that are used by the program.

The .rnd file extension is also used by the Pretty Good Privacy software application for random seeds. Pretty Good Privacy is a file encryption software program. The RND files that are associated with this application generate random numbers that are used in file encryption technology.

In some instances, the .rnd file extension may be used for the creation of secure website certificates. The RND files that are used for this purpose contain random data that is used to generate the digital certificate.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
