What is a PTS file?

PTGui Project File

The PTGui Project (.PTS) file format is utilized by the PTGui software, a panorama stitching program which is mainly used to generate panoramic images by joining together several photographs. PTS files store details of the project such as photos, control points, and other stitching data.

The PTS files are saved in a proprietary format, meaning it can only be opened and edited using PTGui. It does not support other panorama stitching software like Adobe Lightroom or Hugin.

PTGui has several features that make it a great tool for creating panoramic images. Some of the main features include support for multiple image formats, advanced control point editor, and support for HDR and 360-degree panoramas. Additionally, the software has a user-friendly interface, making it easy for users to navigate and edit their PTS files.

The PTS (Pro Tools Session) file format is utilized by the Pro Tools software application, a popular digital audio workstation (DAW) used in sound production for both music and multimedia, such as film and video game post-production. PTS files are exclusive to Pro Tools as they're in a specific format and can't be opened or edited with other DAW software like Logic Pro or Ableton Live.
