If you are looking for PTGui, you have come to the right place. We explain what PTGui is and point you to the official download.
What is PTGui?
PTGUI Pro’s name stands for “graphical user interface for panorama tools”. The program essentially functions to help people combine the panoramic images to create a single, coherent image. For instance, if a user has employed his camera to take photos of different “sections” of a single very tall building’s façade (the assumption being that the camera cannot take in the entirety of the edifice in a single shot), PTGUI Pro can be used for post-processing that involves taking those separate shots, matching them so they line up like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, then producing a single composite image of the building in its totality.
Horizontal and vertical image stacks can be created using the video, which allows users to perform a composition either automatically or manually. Images can be rotated for better fit. The software can save in a variety of formats, including TIFF, JPEG, and PSD. It is also possible to queue several image sets for stitching to be performed without you having to oversee it.
The software is compatible with both Windows (XP and later) and Mac (OS X 10.5 and later) systems. There is also a free version that lacks some of the features of the paid/pro version, including masking, viewpoint correction, and vignetting.
