How to open MRK files
Did your computer fail to open a MRK file? We explain what MRK files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your files.
What is a MRK file?
Files that contain the .mrk file extension are used to save text files on digital cameras. These text files contain information that describes the order in which the pictures should be printed from the camera when the camera is hooked up directly to a digital photo printer. These files are also used by certain photo printing services.
The MRK file itself does not contain any image data, just the print order information. The MRK files can only be read by print services and printers that support the Print Order File format.
Files containing the .mrk file extension are also sometimes associated with the Pro/ENGINEER computer-aided drafting software. These files contain a Pro/ENGINEER Markup File that is used by the application.
