What are MRIMG files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a MRIMG file or just wondering what they contain? We explain what these files are used for and show you software that we know can open or otherwise handle your files.
What is a MRIMG file?
A .MRIMG file is a Macrium Reflect Disk Image file.
A Macrium Reflect Disk Image File is essentially a digital snapshot of a computer's entire hard drive. It's used to create a backup of all the data stored on the PC in case something goes awry and the information is lost.
This can be helpful when the hard drive malfunctions and wipes out the data or the computer becomes infected with a virus that deletes everything.
Creating a Macrium Reflect Disk Image File makes it possible to restore the computer's data to its previous state before the issue occurred. The file has the unique ".mrimg" extension and is created with a software program called Macrium Reflect, which is a tool for backing up and recovering data.
