What are LUA files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a LUA file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your LUA files.
What is a LUA file?
Files that contain the .lua file extension contain Lua programming scripts. These scripts are written in the Lua programming language, an embeddable and light-weight scripting language.
LUA files are designed to extend to different computer applications. LUA files can be used as stand-alone scripting files (in which they are usually stored in a text-based file format) or they can be compiled to create an executable software program. The Lua programming language was created in 1993 at the Pontifical Catholic University.
Warcraft 2 is one of the many computer applications that uses Lua scripts in the operation of the software application.
