LUA File - opening and understanding
Did your computer fail to open a LUA file? We explain what they are used for and recommend software that we know can open or otherwise handle your .LUA files.
What is a LUA file?
Files that contain the .lua file extension contain Lua programming scripts. These scripts are written in the Lua programming language, an embeddable and light-weight scripting language.
LUA files are designed to extend to different computer applications. LUA files can be used as stand-alone scripting files (in which they are usually stored in a text-based file format) or they can be compiled to create an executable software program. The Lua programming language was created in 1993 at the Pontifical Catholic University.
Warcraft 2 is one of the many computer applications that uses Lua scripts in the operation of the software application.
