What are DLC files and how to open them

What is a DLC file?
DLC files have multiple uses, and Encrypted Download Link-Container is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
Encrypted Download Link-Container
Link-Containers are encrypted link lists. It is easy to share many download links at once using container files. The links are encrypted when stored in a link-container file.
The DLC container format was invented by the team behind the JDownloader download manager. JDownloader supports the format natively, and other download managers may too as the format is open.
