The JDownloader is more than just a download management utility. Aside from allowing a user to quickly and easily download a host of content, applications and programs directly from a host browser, this application also gives the user control over the downloading process. This control includes the ability to pause or totally stop a download, automatic extraction of the content into an archive and setting the bandwidth limitation to manage file sizes, among others. These features gives the user of the JDownloader application more convenient download activities that entail less time, less process and optimum computer efficiency.
This application is created by Germany-based download manager software developer, AppWork, which is a freeware company. It works with Windows OS and supports popular browsers Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.
The JDownloader supports heavy file uploading channels including Megaupload and Rapidshare, among others. The user interface opens up to a simple navigation window with a copy and paste function for the URL of the target website content to be uploaded. It also allows users to skip the file size limit that such download channels impose to free account users, allowing them to process download requests more than the prescribed limit by modifying IP numbers so that the restrictions do not apply. This function is a safe and legal function appended to the application's settings, using a reconnect button. This is a big help especially for really large important files where users cannot afford to pay for premium accounts.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
