Internet Download Manager
If you are looking for Internet Download Manager, you have come to the right place. We explain what Internet Download Manager is and point you to the official download.
What is Internet Download Manager?
Tonec Inc. has made one of the most popular download managers to date, the Internet Download Manager or IDM, which is particularly known for capturing video or audio streams from a variety of sources on the Internet as they play, and allowing these captured media to be downloaded to a user’s hard disk. Because of this ability, IDM has mostly superseded YouTube downloading programs, since these applications are mostly only for YouTube (and other video streaming sites), unlike IDM which is both a download manager and a media capturing downloader in one.
The Internet Download Manager has a 30-day free trial where users will have no limitation on the program’s capabilities, but will stop working after the trial period is over. To continue using the product, one must purchase a license online, or to buy a hard copy from the nearest software store.
IDM’s power comes from separating a file to be downloaded to several chunks that can be downloaded all at once, thus facilitating a faster download overall. It also allows download resumption – if the file host or server has this feature enabled – including such features as batch downloading, multiple download queues, and automatic updating of download addresses.
