What is a DDP file?

Delphi Diagram Portfolio File

Older versions of the Delphi programming environment can use.DDP files, which are portfolio files. A portfolio file includes a diagram that depicts the relationships between dependencies in a Delphi project.

Delphi is a programming software used to design applications used on desktop and laptop computers, as well as mobile phones, websites, and consoles. It was developed by Embarcadero Technologies.

DreamPlan Home Design Software Project

DreamPlan Home Design Software Project files are project files created by NCH Software's DreamPlan Home Design application. They store all design elements of a home visualization project - floor plans, 3D structure data, landscaping, furniture, textures, and split views of interiors and exteriors - so that a layout can be built, edited, and visualized over time. These files represent work-in-progress home design projects rather than exported final renderings.

These project files are written and read exclusively by DreamPlan. When a user saves their current design in DreamPlan, all project data gets serialized into this format. Users can reopen these files later in DreamPlan to continue building, modifying walls, roofs, terrain, furnishings, or decor. To share designs beyond working inside DreamPlan, the 3D model within these project files may be exported to standard 3D model formats such as OBJ or STL, or 2D blueprints can be printed.

Files begin with a specific signature: at byte offset zero they include the bytes 0x6C 0x73 0x64 0x66 0x01 0x00 0x13 0x00, which in ASCII shows as "lsdf" followed by control and version-identifying bytes.

While we have not verified the apps ourselves yet, our users have suggested ten different DDP openers which you will find listed below.

OS/2 Device Driver Profile

OS/2 Device Driver Profile files give instructions to the OS/2 operating system's device driver installation program (DDINSTAL) so that hardware device drivers can be correctly installed and configured. They are plain-text control files supplied by device driver authors to guide the OS/2 Device Driver Installation tool during setup, especially when distributing loadable physical device drivers.

These Profile files are used when installing external or optional device drivers under OS/2. They define which driver files to install, where they come from, and where they should go on the target system. Common entries include directives like DDISrc to specify the source directory containing the driver and profile files, DDIDest to define the destination directory on the system, and DDIDDP listing one or more profile files to process.

Device Driver Profile files begin with the ASCII string :TITLE at the very start, followed by content lines that commonly refer to keywords like CONFIG, DRIVER, FILES, TITLE. These byte signatures help distinguish them from other formats.
