What are ABM files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an ABM file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your ABM files.
What is an ABM file?
ABM files have multiple uses, and Music Album is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
Music Album
A wide variety of album-creation software applications use the .abm file extension for the albums that they create. In some cases, the ABM file may also contain thumbnail images for the pictures that are contained in a digital photo album.
There are a variety of applications that use the ABM file extension. HitPlayer is one of the applications used to create files with the .abm file extension.
However, even though several applications may use the ABM file extension for storing album files, it does not mean that the ABM file format of each application is compatible amongst the different applications that use it.
How to open ABM files
Important: Different programs may use files with the ABM file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your ABM file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

All known file formats using extension .ABM
While Music Album is a popular type of ABM-file, we know of 4 different uses of the .ABM file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.
Audition Music
These ABM files contain the music used in Audition, a video game developed by T3 Entertainment. You get access to a list of music tracks and every level of the game uses a different music track.
Deluxe Paint AnimBrush
These ABM files contain animations or art created in Deluxe Paint. This software was developed for the Commodore Amiga home computer and was later released on other platforms like MS-DOS.
This bitmap graphics editor was used to create Amiga games, animations, and demoscenes. Some artists also used deluxe to make music videos.
This software became the standard for pixel graphics in video games in the years 1985 to 1995.
PhotoImpressions Album
We know that one ABM format is PhotoImpressions Album. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
