What is PhotoThru?
PhotoThru is a media management program from Samsung Electronics that is available as freeware. The program is compatible with Windows and is capable of opening image files in the JPEG, BMP and TIFF file formats. The user interface is largely Windows-inspired with drag and drop support program. Users are able to access photos by selecting directories from a box on the interface where all computer locations are displayed as folders on a tree of accessible libraries. Selecting a library would display its (image) contents in thumbnail view.
Users can rely on the program for simple image library management operations like file naming, sorting, and collection into related folders (or album creation). Images can be deleted, renamed, copied, and accessed for properties using the program, which is also a photo printer and basic photo editing application. The editing options allow users to make use of the application’s inbuilt editing features or eschew those in favor of a specified editing program also installed on the user’s computer. After editing, images can be sent directly to the printer or previewed prior to printing. The program also comes with a basic guide for users.
