What are 01 files and how to open them

What is a 01 file?
Files that contain the .01 file extension are most commonly associated with the FIFA 2001 computer gaming application. The FIFA series is a group of popular soccer video games that are played on a user's computer. The first version of FIFA was released in 1993.
The 01 files that are used by the software are user files that are used by 2001 edition of the FIFA gaming application. These files store a user's settings and preferences.
The .01 file suffix is also associated with outdated Apple II files. These files were used on older Apple computers and are no longer supported.
