The AcSELerator QuickSet software from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is a program used with its hardware products. More specifically, it supplies SEL device users an easy way to manage and configure devices and their settings, offering digital tools for visualizing device parameters. Users of the program can actually generate templates that make device configuration simpler.
To some extent, QuickSet is almost like a modular application. This is due to the wide range of extensions and added drivers compatible with it that users can install to bring the program to where they want it to be. All the settings and the connected devices in QuickSet can be viewed in an explorer tree for easy access and the interface supports tabbing within windows for multi-device configuration. Keyboard shortcuts are configurable, further boosting program efficiency and flexibility.
There are 2 versions of QuickSet currently available from Schweitzer Engineering. One is free and the other is paid/licensed. The only real difference between the two is that the free version is incapable of creating or editing QuickSet design templates and the licensed version is capable of both. The program runs on Windows Server 2008 as well as Windows 7.
