AVI Media Player

If you are looking for AVI Media Player, you have come to the right place. We explain what AVI Media Player is and point you to the official download.

What is AVI Media Player?

The AVI Media Player from vsevensoft plays AVI files, yes, but it is actually a multimedia player, even if its name suggests that it is optimized for AVI format files. It can play other video file formats and even audio file formats, including MP3 and WMA.

The program’s interface is relatively unusual as far as media players are concerned. It boasts a very spare default startup interface: a completely black window, in fact, seemingly devoid of controls or menus. The controls and menu options show up only after the user moves the cursor across the screen, after which it is then possible to set the program to show the menus and controls all the time instead of hiding them. Another unusual interface feature is the location of the control bar: unlike in other programs, it is situated at the top of the screen instead of at the bottom.

The AVI Media Player also gives users the ability to create playlists. While available for free, it comes with ad sponsors. It is also a Windows operating system program, compatible with 2000, 7, XP, and Vista.
